Job Title:         Cabinet Maker (12 month)

Location:              School Maintenance Dept.

Reports to:           Director of Maintenance 

 

Nature of Job: Deliver cabinets that are both practical and aesthetically pleasing. Using the specs provided by our
foreman, you will use your building and mathematical skills to create cabinets that meet very specific
guidelines. You’ll work alongside the other members of our building team to create an important product
that is in high demand.

 

Qualifications:  

  1. High School diploma or equivalent.
  2. Prior experience. 
  3. Considerable knowledge of the standard practices, methods, materials, and tools of carpentry and other trades. 
  4. Must have a valid NC Driver’s License and maintain a good driving record. 
  5. Must be physically able to perform standard tasks of the trade.
  6. Such alternatives to the about qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable. 

Performance Responsibilities:

  1. Frequently lift up to fifty (50) pounds alone and one hundred (100) pounds with assistance. 
  2. Occasionally work from ladders or scaffolding at heights over ten (10) feet. 
  3. Sit, stand and walk for required periods of time. 
  4. Reach with hands and arms, use hands and fingers to handle objects to operate tools, computers, and controls.
